Jess Brophy Lake
Jess is a Club Director and Recruiting Coordinator for Phantastix. She is a 2009 graduate of James Madison University, where she was a four-year starter on defense for the Dukes. Brophy was voted captain both her junior and senior year. She was a three-year team leader in ground balls and caused turnovers. Jess was the recipient of the team’s “Purple Pride award” as a junior and the “Madison Award” as a senior. She was a three-time CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award winner and JMU Athletic Director Scholar Athlete. She was also a member of the Conference (CAA) All Rookie team as a freshman. Before JMU, Jess was a soccer and lacrosse standout at Archbishop Carroll. She was Main Line Player of the Year and Philadelphia Catholic league MVP in 2005. She was also a US Lacrosse All-American honorable mention and named All-Southeastern Pennsylvania as a senior. She was a multiple time All Conference, All-Delco, and All Main Line honoree in both lacrosse and soccer. Jess returned to coach at her alma mater, Archbishop Carroll, where she has spent the past thirteen seasons. Jess assisted Coach Lorraine Beers as the Patriots won the PIAA 3A State Championship in 2017 and the PIAA 2A State Championship in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Jess is passionate about the sport of lacrosse and loves to share her enthusiasm and competitive spirit with the girls. She loves coaching Phantastix because it allows her to help young athletes improve their game and reach their goals just as she was able to do when she wore a Phantastix uniform.
