Katie Detwiler

Katie is entering her fifth year as a defender at the Loyola University of Maryland. In 2022, Katie was named First Team IWLCA All America, Inside Lacrosse All American, and Patriot League Defender of the Year. She was one of 25 women honored on the Tewaaraton Watchlist at the end of the season. Since attending Loyola, Katie has now been named 2-time Patriot League Defender of the year, 2-time IWLCA All-American, 2-time Inside Lacrosse All-American, 3-time All-Patriot League, 2-tiime Academic All-Patriot League, and 11-time Patriot League Defender of the Week. Katie was a training team member for both the Women’s USA Senior Team (’21) and U19 USA Team (’18,’19).

Katie is a 2018 graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School where she was a starter all four years. She led her team to four Catholic League Championships and the first ever PIAA 3A State Championship in 2017 for the Patriots. Katie is a two-time All-American and Under Armour All-American who will be playing in the Under Armour Senior Game this summer. She received the prestigious Heather Leigh Albert Award in 2017 and captained the HLA team to the championship. She was named in the IL Women’s Top 40 ranked 30th in the country. Katie is coaching the 2025 Phantastix team this summer.
